Rotator Sports announces the acquisition of the Las Vegas Wolves franchise in the Mountain West Hockey League. The company will rebrand the club as the Las Vegas Calvary.
Rotator Sports became involved with the franchise last season along with partners Adam Stio and Zach Snobel. Rotator Sports will retain Snobel as general manager and Stio as head coach and director of hockey operations this year.
The Las Vegas Cavalry will debut in the brand new City National Arena set to open this month on Pavilion Drive adjacent to Downtown Summerlin. The team will share a home with the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League and the UNLV Rebels college hockey team. The arena features 600 general admission mid-rink seats along with end glass seating, restaurant seating and VIP suites bringing the total capacity to about 1000 for Cavalry home games.
The Cavalry will host a tryout camp Saturday and Sunday October 14-15, 2017 for prospective new players. Training Camp will be the November 3-5 weekend and the season starts right after in mid-November. All camp sessions are open to anyone free of charge. The schedule will be out in the coming weeks.
